USB-2COM-PL can plug directly into a unused USB port using it's inbuilt USB "A" plug where space permits. A short 25cm detachable USB extension cable allows the USB-2COM-PL to be used where connector spacing does not allow the USB-2COM-PL to be inserted directly. 

USB-2COM-PL features a full set of RS-232 modem data and control signals (TxD, RxD, RTS, CTS, DSR, DTR, DCD, RI, and GND) on it's PC compatible DB9 male connectors and has an internal 128 byte transmit buffer FIFO and a 384 byte receive buffer FIFO on each of its 2 RS232 Ports. Each port supports RS232 data transfer rates of up to 230K bps. No external power supply is required as USB-2COM-PL takes it's power from the USB bus.

USB-2COM-PL comes complete with drivers for Microsoft Windows '98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, and Windows XP. The Windows XP drivers are fully WHQL certified. Also included are drivers for Apple OS8, OS9 and OSX. Linux kernel 2.4.20 or greater includes also USB drivers for this product.

Housed in a strong plastic enclosure it is designed for more rugged application areas. USB-2COM adds two Windows serial Com ports via it's USB connection and is compatible with new & legacy RS-232 devices. USB Plug and Play allows easy serial port expansion and requires no IRQ, DMA, or I/O port resources.

USB-2COM features a full set of RS-232 modem data and control signals (TxD, RxD, RTS, CTS, DSR, DTR, DCD, RI, and GND) on each of it's PC compatible DB9 male connectors. USB-2COM has an internal 128 byte transmit buffer FIFO and a 384 byte receive buffer FIFO on each port.
